Himachal Pradesh athletes displayed skill and determination on the second day of the Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg, securing gold and silver medal in the highly competitive women’s ski mountaineering vertical race.

Tenzin Dolma clinched gold medal, showcasing her remarkable talent and endurance, while Natasha Mehar secured the silver, further solidifying the state’s dominance in the event. Besides, the state women skiers dominated the Giant Slalom event today, winning the top three positions of the event. While Anchal Thakur won gold, Tanuja Thakur and Suhani bagged the silver and bronze medal, respectively. In the men’s Giant Slalom, Alwin won the bronze medal for the state.

Rajesh Rana, coach of the Himachal Pradesh team, expressed immense pride in his athletes’ achievements. “The team has been putting in tremendous effort and dedication in their training,” he said. “Their hard work has truly paid off, and I am incredibly happy with their performance.”
