Sukhu said that this national recognition underscored Himachal Pradesh’s steadfast commitment to ensuring universal Aadhaar coverage with strong emphasis on its youngest population. The Department of Digital Technologies and Governance had played a pivotal role in achieving this milestone through a comprehensive and innovative strategy, he added.

He said, “This recognition testifies Himachal’s exceptional achievement in enrolling the youngest population. The state has attained an impressive Aadhaar coverage of 64 per cent among children below the age of five years, which is the highest in the entire nation.”

Butail also presented the annual report card for 2024-25 prepared to the Chief Minister.
