The Baddi subdivision in Himachal Pradesh now has its own Registering & Licensing Authority office, inaugurated today at the SDM’s office by Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Industries, Revenue, and Town Planning) Ram Kumar Chaudhary. This marks the ninth such office in Solan district, with Baddi joining other subdivisions like Arki, Kandaghat, Nalagarh, Solan, Parwanoo and Kasauli. Both Solan and Nalagarh also feature Regional Transport Offices.

The addition of this office comes as a significant convenience for Baddi, a major industrial hub in the state with a high volume of both industrial and private vehicles. The establishment of the office is aimed at saving time for residents, making vehicle registration more accessible locally.

The state government has initiated the HP-12AA series for vehicle registration in Baddi, and the office is currently staffed with a superintendent, clerk, and junior office assistant, along with a computer for efficient registration processing. Additional computers are expected to be provided soon under corporate social responsibility initiatives to expedite the workflow further.

CPS Chaudhary also announced upcoming infrastructure projects in Baddi, including the inauguration of an Industrial Training Institute at Patta and Kuthar, a hospital in Baddi, and the Baddi-Sai-Ramshahr road by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a Public Works Department division, an office for the Superintending Engineer of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board, and to upgrade Baddi Hospital.

Municipal Council Chairman Surjeet Chaudhary and other local dignitaries were present at the event.
