In another development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Sohan and Ravi for irregularities in the selection process for clerks of the state secretariat under post code 962. The SIT is at present investigating over 20 cases.

However, Uma would remain in custody following her arrest in many cases. She had also applied for anticipatory bail in three other cases. Sources in the Vigilance Department said that Jitender Kanwar, Secretary of the dissolved HPSSC, was also arrested in the paper leak scam case and he had also applied for anticipatory bail in four cases.

SP Rahul Nath, who is heading the SIT, said that the court had granted bail to Uma in one case while many other cases against her were still being investigated.
