The CBI court here has dismissed bail applications of Vikas Deep and Neeraj accused in an alleged scholarship scam.

The CBI has registered an FIR on the complaint of a director of an educational institution of Dev Bhumi Group of Institution, Chandpur, Una, Bhupinder Sharma on December 22, 2024 under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

He said that a case has been registered at Enforcement Directorate Office, Shimla against his Institution and it is being investigated by Vishal Deep, Assistant Director, ED, Shimla, Neeraj, Enforcement Officer of ED, Shimla, and others.

He appeared in the ED office. During interrogation, the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 30 lakh for not arresting him. Thereafter, he was produced before Vishal Deep in his office chamber, who during examination also allegedly demanded Rs 55 lakh.
