The Shalaghat branch of Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank, Solan, was felicitated at Shimla today for disbursing the highest loan amount of Rs 39 lakh to 33 farmers among its 33 branches in the current financial year. The branch also bagged the award for best door-to-door farmer credit distribution.

They were felicitated during a state credit seminar-2025 organised by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Himachal Pradesh, in Shimla today. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena was the chief guest on this occasion.

Bank Chairman Advocate Mukesh Sharma said the bank manager of Shalaghat branch facilitated loan availability to maximum people through door-to-door credit distribution this year. His efforts were lauded by NABARD, which felicitated him with the award today.
