The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra has failed to garner the support of people, causing embarrassment to Congress leaders, said Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, here today. He was speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a meeting of the BJP (IT) Cell at Basant Resort here.

Anurag said that those who had questioned the existence of Lord Rama were now accepting his glorious presence. He added that the construction of the Ram Temple was a 500-year-old cherished dream of the people of the country and the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made it come true.

He said that the BJP government had done what successive Congress governments could not do in 70 years for the development of the country. He added that it was evident that the BJP was the only political party that had continued with its ideology since its inception. BJP leaders were committed to the growth of the country and it was visible all around.

Later, Anurag addressed a meeting of the BJP (IT) Cell office-bearers and advised them to make people aware of the welfare programmes and schemes of the Central government. He also listened to public grievances at his residence at Sameerpur in the morning.
