Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania said that Bhattiyat region would be developed as a prime trekking tourism destination with a strong focus on infrastructure development. He was addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a newly constructed community hall worth Rs 27 lakh in Saned village of Rajain Gram Panchayat today.

Pathania emphasised the importance of expanding basic infrastructure, particularly in rural areas. He noted that improved access to potable water, uninterrupted electricity supply and a strengthened healthcare network have encouraged people to return to their villages. He further highlighted the crucial role of road networks in the fundamental development of any region.

Pathania pointed out that Bhattiyat, with its abundant natural resources and favorable climate, holds great potential to be developed as an ideal tourism destination. He assured the people that by 2027, all villages in the constituency would have proper road connectivity, paving the way for Bhattiyat to flourish as a trekking tourism hotspot in the near future.

Discussing ongoing development projects, Pathania announced that a 132 kVA power substation would soon be constructed at Kakroti-Ghata to provide a permanent solution to electricity supply issues in the area. Additionally, a drinking water supply scheme at Samot, currently under construction, will ensure a steady supply of potable water once completed. He also stated that the Rajein-Saroga irrigation project is nearing completion.

Pathania assured the public that demands presented by the local panchayat representatives, under the leadership of Panchayat Pradhan Kusum Lata, would be sympathetically considered and fulfilled. He also addressed public grievances, resolving most of them on the spot.
