Governor of Bihar Arif Mohammed Khan arrived at Raj Bhavan, Shimla, on Tuesday on a two-day official visit to the state. He was warmly received by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who welcomed him with a traditional Himachali cap and shawl, and presented him a ceremonial souvenir — the famous Chamba Thaal — as a mark of respect and honour.

During his visit, Khan will participate in a conference on the theme, ‘Guru Parampara and Indian Knowledge Tradition’, being organised at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, on June 25. He will be staying at Raj Bhavan on June 24 and is scheduled to depart for Chandigarh on June 25.
