The Bihar mandate is a historic landslide victory, which reaffirms Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the BJP’s governance model, said state BJP president Rajeev Bindal while addressing mediapersons in Dharamsala today.

Bindal said, “Himachal is now the only Congress-ruled state in north India. The political tide is clearly shifting in Himachal as well.” He accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of misleading the public with “unfulfilled promises and hollow assurances”. He termed the government’s three-year tenure as “Vyavastha Patan”.

Bindal criticised increase in taxes and cess on essential commodities, higher HRTC fares, besides the closure of institutions and the alleged abolition of “1.5 lakh posts” in various departments. The appointment of “mitras” at Rs 5,000 per month was “a cruel joke on unemployed youth”, he added.

He said the Kangra BJP would hold a big rally at Tapovan on December 4.
