Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadik today adopted Government Senior School For Boys, Bilaspur, under the Apna Vidyalaya programme initiated by CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

The DC announced this at a meeting of district officers organised in regard to the programme. During the meeting, he said this initiative of the CM aimed to enhance the quality of education in government schools by encouraging administrative officers to adopt a school of their choice.

The focus was on fostering collaborative partnerships to create a supportive and effective educational environment, he added.

The DC said all possible support would be provided to improve the educational standards and infrastructure of the adopted school.

He would visit the school on November 22 to assess its needs and review the facilities and infrastructure of the school.

He urged the officers present in the meeting to actively participate in this initiative by adopting schools to contribute for the development of school inspire students to perform better in all spheres of life.

Officials expressed their commitment to making the Apna Vidyalaya programme a success.
