The Excise and Taxation Department has ranked Bilaspur district as first in the state, according to the monthly performance card for September, while Nurpur revenue district is the last.

The performance was evaluated on four parameters — recovery of ineligible input tax credit (ITC), recovery of interest liability for late filing of GSTR3B returns, verification of e-way bills and recovery under the legacy resolution scheme. Bilaspur was ranked first, followed by Sirmaur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Chamba, Baddi, Kinnaur, Solan, Una, Shimla, Kullu and Nurpur. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
