BJP state president Rajeev Bindal yesterday flayed the state government for returning Rs 25 crore to the Central Government that were granted for the upcoming medical device park in Nalagarh.

Bindal, while addressing mediapersons here, said that such a step was detrimental to the state’s interests and it did not augur well for the development of Himachal. He added that on the one hand, the Congress government rued that it was not granted adequate central funds, on the other, it had returned funds provided for coveted development projects.

He said that the Central Government had also provided adequate funds for a bulk drugs park coming up in Una district but flayed its slow progress. This project would reduce the dependence of the pharmaceutical companies on imported raw material and therefore was crucial for the nation.
