The BJP legislators went out of the House on Wednesday, accusing Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of not providing correct information on the number of jobs given by his government. Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania said the protest by the BJP was uncalled for and would not go on record.

Not satisfied with the government's response to the question on the number of jobs given, Sulah MLA Vipin Singh Parmar said there was a lot of discrepancy in the numbers provided by the government.

"In July last year, the government said 34,980 jobs had been given. On August 15 this year, the Chief Minister said that 23,191 jobs had been given. How come there's a gap of around 10,000 jobs? Why is there such a contradiction?" asked Parmar.

The Chief Minister, however, said that his government had been providing jobs in different sectors, citing the jobs given in education, health, forest, and IPH sectors. Amidst the heated discussion, he said the Opposition was deliberately ignoring the employment details he was providing
