He said the BJP has finalised its strategy to corner the government in the Assembly. “We will raise every issue concerning the common people and will expose the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government, which has failed on all fronts,” he said.

Talking to The Tribune, he said that poor law and order, government’s confrontation with the State Election Commission over panchayat elections, unnecessary invoking of Disaster Management Act for to postpone the PRI elections and infiltration of drugs in the hill state, particularly in the educational institutes and poor fiscal management, are some of the major issues that they will raise in the Vidhan Sabha in the interest of the public.

He also accused the Congress regime of “near bankruptcy” and alleged that poor fiscal management had forced the state to withhold payments to contractors, delay pensions and medical reimbursements of retirees and stop dearness allowance dues of employees.

“The time is not far when people will show the Congress government the door. A new dawn of development will rise in Himachal Pradesh,” Jai Ram Thakur said, adding that the BJP stands firmly with the people affected by the recent disaster.
