He said the event will reflect the voice of a disappointed public and signal the beginning of political change in the state.
Dr Bindal alleged that the Congress came to power in 2022 by making false promises that were never fulfilled. He said unemployment is rising, women feel betrayed, prices of essential commodities have increased and various mafias are flourishing unchecked. According to him, the public is now completely fed up and ready to seek an alternative.
He criticised the government for suspending regular recruitments and introducing “mitra” posts with a monthly honorarium of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000, calling it the biggest injustice to educated youth.
Dr Bindal also accused the government of deceiving 28 lakh women by failing to deliver the promised Rs 1,500 monthly assistance. He said the promise of 300 units of free electricity was reversed with increased tariffs and the earlier 50 per cent bus fare concession for women was discontinued. Rising water charges and taxes have added further burden, he claimed.
He said law and order has weakened, with increasing incidents of murder, drug trafficking and illegal mining. Dr Bindal said thousands of people will gather in Dharamsala to raise their voice against the government, expressing confidence that the demonstration will mark a turning point in Himachal Pradesh’s political direction.
