Blackout in Parwanoo, Baddi, Nalagarh from 8 pm to 6 am: DC

In view of the prevailing tension with Pakistan, a blackout in the tehsil areas of Parwanoo, Baddi and Nalagarh would be observed in the border areas of Solan district from 8 pm to 6 am today as per directions of the Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma.

Sharma urged all the traders at these places to close their shops at 8 pm. He instructed the Sub-Divisional Magistrates concerned to ensure compliance of blackout in the panchayats under their jurisdiction.

The concerned SDMs have been asked to request the industrialists not to put the employees in night shift in any industry. He also instructed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kasauli, to coordinate with the Army.

The Deputy Commissioner said that according to the situation, blackout can be executed at other places in the district as well. He appealed to the citizens to extend cooperation.
