Nahan, August 2
The bodies of two brothers were found under suspicious circumstances in a seasonal stream at Mehruwala village under the Bhangani panchayat of the Paonta Sahib subdivision. The deceased were identified as Sandeep (32) and Natthi (30), residents of Mehruwala.
On seeing the bodies, villagers immediately informed the police. A team from Puruwala police station took the bodies into its possession. The police also conducted a thorough inspection of the area.
It is learnt that the bodies were found 30 to 35 feet apart from each other in the stream. It is speculated that the brothers may have drowned in the strong currents of the seasonal water body. The police were investigating the case from all angles to determine the exact cause of death.
A senior police official stated that more information will come to light after post mortem.
