An unidentified body was discovered on the roadside along Salol road in Tiara village, under the jurisdiction of the Gaggal police station.

The local police took custody of the body and sent it to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Officials said the deceased, estimated to be around 55 to 60 years old, had no documents or belongings that could help establish his identity.

The body has been placed in the mortuary for 72 hours to allow for identification. Police have also circulated information in Tiara and nearby villages to trace the man’s identity.

The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination report, officials said.
