Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Monday called on veteran BJP leader and former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar at his residence along with her sister Rangoli Chandel.

Kangana, while briefing media persons, said she had come to Palampur for extending the invitation for the marriage of her brother.

Shanta thanked the actor for calling on him. Shanta said Kangana was a brave daughter of the state and he had always supported her when her office was demolished by the Shiv Sena government in Mumbai.

He said injustice had been done to her which was uncalled for. In a democratic system, such illegal actions were never expected from any government, he added.

In reply to a question, Kangana said though it was a personal visit, she discussed with the veteran BJP leader the unjust treatment she received in Mumbai. She stated that she had full faith in the judicial system where her petitions were being heard.
