An incident occurred on National Highway 05 near Bithal in Shimla district, resulting in the deaths of two women and injuring 15 others. The victims were travelling in a private bus when it was hit by shooting stones, causing widespread panic and chaos.

The deceased have been identified as Laxmi Virani, a resident of Jalgaon in Maharashtra, and another woman from Nepal. The injured were immediately rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Medical Services Complex in Khaneri, Rampur, where they are receiving treatment.

According to reports, the incident took place approximately 101 km from Shimla, the state's capital. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police swiftly reached the spot and initiated rescue operations.
