Una sizzles at 42°C as temperatures soar in Himachal

Maximum temperatures across the state have soared past 40°C at a few places in the plains and low hills in the past 24 hours. The temperatures are likely to rise further as the weather will stay largely clear over the next few days.
The places where the temperatures have gone beyond 40°C include Una (42.4°C), Kangra (40.4°C), Bilaspur (40.1°C) and Neri (42.6°C). Shimla has also touched 29°C.

Apart from maximum temperatures, the minimum temperatures are also rising. Minimum temperatures are three to five degree above normal at many stations.
There’s a forecast for light rain at isolated places from June 13 to 15 across the state. It will provide some relief to the people from rising temperatures.
