This much-awaited move has been welcomed by the residents of Koksar, who had been facing severe difficulties due to the road blockage caused by heavy snowfall.
The road, which connects Koksar with the rest of the region, had been blocked for several weeks, causing a lot of inconvenience to the people of Koksar and the surrounding villages of Kuthbihal, Dimpuk, Ramthang and Koksar. With the snow clearing underway, residents are hopeful that accessibility to their area will be restored soon, allowing them to resume normal transportation of goods and services.
Sachin Mirupa, pradhan of Koksar gram panchayat, expressed relief at the BRO’s action. He emphasised the importance of the road for the local community, as it provides essential connectivity to the outside world. Mirupa further stated that the restoration of this road is critical for the transportation of essential goods and services, benefiting the residents and improving their overall quality of life.
