The Budget session of the Vidhan Sabha will be held from February 14 to 29. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the Budget on February 17.

Normally, the Budget session begins in the last week of February or at the beginning of March but it has been called early this time in view of the Lok Sabha poll.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
