Thakur commended the tenure of the Congress government and appreciated the role of Congress workers in combating the BJP’s strategies during the byelections. He criticised BJP leaders for allegedly engaging in malpractices. He said that the people of Himachal had reaffirmed their support for the Congress government’s developmental agenda. He credited Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and state Congress president Pratibha Singh with good leadership in maintaining the party’s unity and effective governance.

He claimed that the electorate had rejected the BJP’s political manoeuvering. Thakur applauded the selection of strong candidates by the party high command that led to the victories. He said the recent electoral outcomes had decisively demonstrated the voters’ rejection of the BJP’s political tactics.
