Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) in New Delhi has signed an agreement with the IIT-Roorkee and IIT-Mandi for the development of ‘cell-free’ 6G access points.

Both IITs are collaborating to develop this technology to enhance connectivity, signal strength and data speeds, and to contribute 6G standardisation, patents and commercialisation. C-DOT is a telecom R&D centre of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) under the Ministry of Communications.
