Capacity building programme at Dalhousie Public School

An eight-day Capacity Building Programme, aligned with the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) teacher development initiatives, began on Saturday at Dalhousie Public School (DPS).

Jointly hosted by DPS and the Centre of Excellence (CoE), Panchkula, the workshop is designed to improve teaching effectiveness, student engagement and overall school and student wellness.

Key focus areas of the workshop include critical and creative thinking, experiential learning, school health and wellness and stress management. Educationists and domain experts are leading the sessions, ensuring teachers gain practical insights and innovative pedagogical techniques in line with the National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education and NEP 2020.

Speaking at the inaugural session, the Joint Secretary and Head of CoE Panchkula highlighted the importance of continuous professional development in ensuring quality education. He emphasised, “Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping young minds. These workshops will empower educators with modern teaching strategies and enhance their ability to create a stimulating learning environment.”
