At least three persons sustained serious injuries after a car they were travelling in plunged into a gorge in Chopal sub-division, district Shimla. The injured have been identified as Digvijay Singh, Sunny and Erik Meta, all residents of Deha in Theog, Shimla.

According to reports, the accident took place on Sunday night near Dattakandi village when Digvijay, who was driving the car, lost control of the vehicle and it plunged into a gorge. As a result, all the passengers sustained injuries.

Shimla SP Gaurav Singh said that a case under Section 125 A (endangering life of others) of Bharariya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 has been registered and that an investigation is underway.
