The White Paper presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was an attempt to cover up the misdeeds that the Union Government did in last 10 years, said Prem Kaushal, chief spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, here on Friday.

He said the conduct of BJP leaders was exposed in the White Paper as it was only a bundle of lies and misinformation, adding that it showed the level of wisdom of BJP leaders who were trying to let down former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by regarding his regime an economic failure.

According to him, the White Paper presented by the Modi-led government was an attempt to divert attention from the prevailing injustice, anarchy and unemployment, women’s exploitation and inflation. The government was using government agencies to threaten rivals, Kaushal alleged.
