Chamba admn explores Piped Natural Gas supply

A meeting was held in Chamba on Thursday to explore the possibility of distribution and supply of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in the town and district. Representatives from Think Gas, a company specialising in natural gas supply, attended the meeting to discuss the initiative.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) PP Singh, who chaired the meeting, stated that the district administration, in collaboration with Think Gas, is assessing the feasibility of implementing city gas distribution and PNG supply in the municipal councils of Chamba, Chowari and Dalhousie. He directed municipal council officials to coordinate with Think Gas to ensure the successful implementation of these plans in the identified areas.

Singh emphasised the importance of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and PNG, noting that both are eco-friendly, with no adverse impact on the environment, making them safe for use.
