Athletes from Chamba district have made their mark in Thang-Ta at the Khelo India Youth Games held in Bihar, showcasing their talent and bringing national recognition to the region. Upon their return, a grand welcome was organised in Chamba to celebrate their achievements.

The celebratory rally began at Bharmour Chowk and concluded at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where DC Mukesh Repaswal felicitated the players for their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence. He also extended his congratulations to Chief Coach and Technical Official Bhuvnesh Singh Katoch for his guidance and support throughout the competition.

Among the medal winners, Priyanshi stood out by securing a bronze medal in the 56 kg Style-2 category, outperforming her competitors while Piyush and Anuj managed to advance to the quarterfinals, reflecting strong efforts across the board.

Led by chief coach Bhuvnesh Singh Katoch, the Chamba team represented the district with great spirit and determination.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Repaswal said Chamba district has no dearth of talent, and “we are committed to nurturing it.
