He held extensive discussions with the officials of various offices housed in the building on matters related to the preservation, beautification and upkeep of this centuries-old structure.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials that all repair and restoration works be carried out strictly in accordance with the traditional architectural style, aesthetic character and artistic heritage of the monument. He also instructed the officials to ensure an early auction of the unused and old scrap material lying in the offices so that the premises remain clean and well-organised.
Repaswal took note of the heritage arte facts preserved in the Rang Mahal, including ancient paintings, artworks, carved wooden pieces, remnants of murals and other cultural treasures, and asked the department concerned to make proper arrangements for their protection, conservation and display. He suggested to them that new murals showcasing local history, culture and folklore be created on the walls of the building to develop the Rang Mahal as a vibrant cultural attraction.
He expressed concern over dampness in parts of the building and directed the officials concerned to ensure drainage systems and construct channels around the Mahal to prevent waterlogging and seepage-related damage during rainfall.
