The online registration process has started for the Manimahesh Yatra in Chamba district. The pilgrimage will officially commence on Janmashtami.
Deputy Commissioner DC Rana said here yesterday that it would be mandatory for all devotees visiting the Manimahesh shrine to get themselves registered at www.manimaheshyatra.hp.gov.in. The registration would be free of cost. On completion of the registration process, they would receive a link on their mobile phone from where the QR code could be downloaded.
It is only after the completion of the registration process that the pilgrims would be allowed to proceed on the Manimahesh yatra from the entry points in Bharmour tribal subdivision of Chamba district.
Rana said that the online facility for giving donations to the Manimahesh Trust would be available along with information about the helicopter service on this website. A team of the Directorate-General Civil Aviation (DGCA) is expected to inspect the heli-taxi operation sites en route to the Manimahesh shrine in Bharmour mountainous terrain on August 9, thereby allowing the heli-taxi ride from August 12.
