Chamba legislator Neeraj Nayar and Himachal Pradesh Road Corporation vice-chairman Ajay Verma flagged off a new volvo bus service between Chamba and Shimla today.

MLA Nayar said Chamba is the farthest district from the state capital and there was a long-standing public demand for a comfortable bus service to Shimla. He added that this is the first BS-6 ultra-luxury Volvo bus from Chamba and will benefit both residents and tourists. Adjustments in the schedule may be made in the future to help passengers connect with the Vande Bharat train from Una to Delhi, he said.

The daily service will start from Chamba at 7.30 am and from Shimla at 6 am. On its route, it will pass through Pathankot, Jasur, Talwara, Una, Chandigarh and Solan.
