The landslide triggered by intense rainfall in the region blocked the highway completely. Besides, a car was reportedly stuck in the landslide debris. However, no one was injured in the incident.

Emergency response teams, including the local police and the workforce of the National Highways Authority of India, worked tirelessly to clear the debris and make the road safe for travel. The highway was reopened around 9.30 a.m, allowing traffic to resume.

The extended closure of the highway caused considerable inconvenience to travellers. The situation was particularly challenging during early morning hours when visibility and conditions were less favourable for the clearance efforts.
