Chauhan invites Vietnamese industry to invest in Himachal

He has invited Vietnamese investors to participate in the upcoming Reverse Buyer-Seller Meets in Himachal Pradesh to strengthen bilateral trade.
Chauhan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government was committed for green industrialisation, rural entrepreneurship and sustainable development. “Our government is committed to building long-term partnerships with Vietnamese industries. Himachal Pradesh offers stability, skilled manpower and sector-specific incentives to ensure smooth business operations. We warmly invite Vietnamese companies to visit our state and witness the opportunities first-hand,” he added.
The session highlighted the growing synergy between India and Vietnam, with special focus on collaborations in healthcare, food processing, pharmaceuticals, electric mobility and manufacturing sectors.
Tako Ajungla Jamir, Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy in Vietnam, welcomed the Himachal delegation led by the Industries Minister. He emphasised on the potential for investment partnerships between the two economies. “India and Vietnam are rapidly growing economies and this interaction opens avenues for Vietnamese enterprises to explore promising investment opportunities in Himachal Pradesh, a state with rich resources and skilled workforce,” she added.
RD Nazeem, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) of Himachal, made a detailed presentation outlining sectoral investment opportunities in tourism, wellness, logistics, electric-vehicle manufacturing, food processing and pharmaceuticals. He also announced that both India and Vietnam aimed to achieve the developed nation status by 2045-47 and that enhanced industrial collaboration would play a pivotal role in realising this shared vision.
“We are determined to provide a single-window clearance system and investor-friendly infrastructure for our Vietnamese partners. This interaction is a step towards building meaningful collaborations in high-value sectors like medical technology, pharmaceuticals and precision manufacturing,” said Nazeem.
Prominent Vietnamese organisations such as the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry, Indian Business Chamber in Hanoi (INCHAM Hanoi), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, T&T Group, Sovico Group and Vietjet Air participated in the session. Discussions centered on advancing cooperation in medical technologies, pharmaceutical production and sustainable industrial ventures.
