All India Youth Congress has appointed Congress leader Chhater Singh as the president of Himachal Youth Congress. Singh has earlier been the state president of NSUI in Himachal. In the election process for the Youth Congress president, Chhater Singh got the highest number of votes.

The party high command declared Chhater Singh as the president of the state Youth Congress after an interview in Delhi today. Singh hails from Rohru of Shimla district.

Incidentally, the process to constitute the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee is also underway in the state. Except for HPCC president Pratibha Singh, the entire HPCC committee up to block level was dissolved about three months back.
