The Himachal Government should also implement the old pension scheme for its employees, said Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo in the Shahpur constituency today.

He said the Congress governments in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan had already passed laws to give the old pension scheme to their employees. “The employees in Himachal have also been demanding theold pension scheme. If the Congress is voted to power in the state, the government employees will be given the old pension scheme,” he added.

HPCC general secretary Kewal Singh Pathania welcomed TS Singh Deo in Shahpur. He said that as a minister, TS Singh Deo had played an important role in the implementation of the old pension scheme in Chhattisgarh. If the Chattisgarh and Rajasthan governments could implement the old pension scheme, why could’t the Himachal Government do it for its employees, he added. —
