Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the landslide-affected area near the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital here late last night. He directed the authorities concerned to expedite the restoration work and ensure the smooth flow of vehicular movement in the area.

Sukhu said that adequate police personnel should be deployed on the Circular Road, which is the lifeline of Shimla city, to facilitate local residents and tourists.

Sukhu also instructed the district administration to maintain strict vigilance and take swift action to prevent any further mishaps and minimise hardships to people in view of the ongoing monsoon season. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap along with other senior officers was present during Sukhu’s visit.
