Various grassroots organisations gathered for a conference in Mandi to address issues of communal harmony and opposition against communal forces. The event saw participation from the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), Himachal Kisan Sabha, Democratic Women’s Committee, and various student and youth organisations.

Prominent leaders including Bhupender Singh of CITU, Kushal Bhardwaj of the Kisan Sabha, and Suresh Sarwal of the Youth Federation spoke on the issue . Bhupender Singh highlighted that Some communal organisations were targeting migrant workers who come to Himachal Pradesh for employment, particularly those involved in small businesses and street vending. He pointed out that many migrant workers were facing harassment.
