Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, Anupam Kashyap today held meeting regarding Disaster Management Civil Defence Volunteers of Shimla city. He said training will be provided to Civil Defence volunteers at ward level in the city and disaster management framework will be strengthened so that the district administration can be prepared to deal with any emergency.

The DC said a target of 824 posts of Civil Defence volunteers has been set in Shimla city and these will be for headquarters, communication, warden service, casualty service, rescue and relief, fire, training , traffic, supply, welfare and dead body disposal services will be prepared and disaster management work will be strengthened.
