The Rotaract Club of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, marked World Earth Day with a Cleanliness Drive and a Poster Making Competition on campus. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about environmental protection, sustainability, and the shared responsibility of individuals in preserving nature.

Prof (Dr) Preeti Saxena, Vice-Chancellor of HPNLU, graced the occasion as the chief guest. She emphasised the vital role academic institutions play in promoting environmental consciousness and urged students to uphold cleanliness.

The cleanliness drive saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and non-teaching staff, all working together to promote a cleaner and greener campus.

In addition, a poster making competition themed “Sustainability, Climate Action and Earth Preservation” encouraged students to creatively express their environmental concerns. Participants from various academic batches showcased innovative designs and messages, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable practices and climate action.
