A one-day cleanliness drive was organised today by the Local Area Development Authority, Kinnaur, at district headquarters Reckong Peo, in which sanitation workers of SADA and the employees of the Deputy Commissioner’s office and other offices cleaned the headquarters and surrounding areas, giving the message of cleanliness.

SADA Member Secretary and Kalpa Sub-Divisional Magistrate Amit Kalthaik said the cleanliness campaign was organised with a view to keeping Kinnaur district clean and beautiful and to make common people aware about environmental protection. “Nature has blessed district Kinnaur with the immense beauty, so we all should be responsible citizen and keep the district clean and beautiful,” the Sub-Divisional Magistrate said.

In the cleanliness drive, the Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises, Superintendent of Police Office premises, Rikang Peo market and surrounding areas were cleaned and a message was given to the people to maintain cleanliness.
