Passengers of Haryana Roadways bus had a close shave when the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into the parapet and an electricity pole, on the Parwanoo-Dharampur road, on Saturday.

According to officials, the incident took place around 10 am at Tambu Mor on the Parwanoo-Dharampur section of National Highway-5. The bus was enroute Shimla-Chandigarh when the mishap occurred.

About 18 to 20 passengers, including the driver and conductor, who were onboard are stated to be safe. Later, the passengers boarded other buses for their remaining journey.

Parwanoo DSP Pranav Chauhan said the incident was being probed and action would be taken against the driver.
