Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the death of Baldev Chand of 4 Rashtriya Rifles (Bihar) today. Baldev had sustained injuries during an encounter with terrorists in Kupwara of Jammu and Kashmir. He hailed from Gangloh village in Jhanduta tehsil of Bilaspur district.

The Chief Minister said that Baldev laid down his life for the security of the country. He added that Baldev would be remembered for making the supreme sacrifice.

Sukhu said that the state government was standing with the aggrieved family members in this hour of grief and would provide all possible assistance to them. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
