The Chief Minister announced that the salary and pension for the month of October would be paid on October 28, instead of in November.

“In view of Diwali, the government has decided to pay the salary and pension for the month of October in October itself,” the Chief Minister said.

In the past couple of months, the government has been disbursing salary and pension a little late to save Rs 3 crore that is spent as interest on the salary and pension amount.
