Former HIMCOFED Chairman and former Assembly candidate from Rampur Kaul Negi has termed the Chief Minister’s visit to the closing ceremony of Lavi Fair as disappointing. Addressing a press conference in Rampur, Negi remarked that this was the Chief Minister’s second visit to the region since assuming office.

However, no new announcements were made from at the fair on November 14, leaving the people of Rampur disheartened as they had high expectations of receiving “developmental gifts”.

He said during the Chief Minister’s first visit to the region in March, he inaugurated projects initiated during the BJP regime. Yet, these institutions remain non-operational due to incomplete infrastructure, he claimed, citing the Mahatma Gandhi Medical Service Complex Trauma Center in Khaneri and the Duttnagar Sports Complex, which were inaugurated in March but are still not functional.

He questioned why these facilities remained closed despite inauguration, and said the fair was mismanaged.
