The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh witnessed intense cold wave as minimum temperature in several parts of the state dipped by 2 degree Celsius to 6 degree Celsius during the last 24 hours.

Higher reaches of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur district recorded temperatures in minus, especially during the night, making them the coldest places in the state.

Minimum temperature across the state was in the range of minus 6 degree Celsius and 12 degree Celsius C while maximum temperature was in the range of 11 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius. Weather was mostly dry with most of the areas experiencing a bright sunny day.

According to Meteorological Department, weather is expected to remain dry till November 21 and minimum and maximum temperatures during this period are likely to remain normal.

Minimum temperature in Shimla was 9 degree Celsius while minimum temperature in Dharamshala was 9.8 degrees Celsius. Manali recorded 2.7 degree Celsius, Kangra 5.8 degree Celsius, Solan 3 degree Celsius, Hamirpur 5.8 degree Celsius, Bilaspur 8.6 degree Celsius, Mandi 5.7 degree Celsius, Sundernagar 4.1 degree Celsius, Bhuntar 3.1 degree Celsius, Kufri 7.5 degree Celsius, Narkanda 4.8 degree Celsius, Kasauli 11.4 degree Celsiu, Kalpa 1 degree Celsius, Nahan 8.4 degree Celsius, Reckong Peo 3.2 degree Celsius, Paonta Sahib 12 degree Celsius, Keylong minus 2.9 degrees Celsius and Kukumseri minus 4.1 degree Celsius.

With 27 degree Celsius maximum temperature, Una was the hottest place in the state while Tabo village in Lahaul and Spiti district continues to remain the coldest place as it recorded minus 6.6 degree Celsius minimum temperature.
