College of Agriculture sweeps all finals on Day 2 in Palampur

The second day of the 29th Annual Inter-College Games at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSK HPKV), Palampur, saw high-octane action as the final matches of kabaddi and basketball in both men’s and women’s categories were played with great enthusiasm.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Naveen Kumar graced the occasion as the chief guest, applauding the teams for their spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship. The event is being organised by the Student Welfare Organisation (SWO) under the leadership of Dr AD Bindra, Student Welfare Officer, who welcomed the chief guest and commended the students for their active and spirited participation.

The day belonged entirely to the College of Agriculture, which dominated the competition by winning all four finals.

In men’s Kabaddi, the victorious team included: Rahul, Harsh, Rohit, Vash, Aman, Sahil, Shivansh Thakur, Aditya, Rohan Bali, Yashar and Sourabh.

In the women’s Kabaddi final, the winning lineup featured: Tanya Thakur, Ekta, Lakshita, Akanksha, Deepshika, Arya, Arushi, Avni, Roshi, Vikkhyati, Simroan and Priya.

The Basketball finals were equally thrilling. The men’s team — Tusahr, Surya, Arnit, Abin, Shaksham, Atul, Sanchit and Sahil — clinched a decisive victory, while the women’s team — Pragiti, Ekta, Priya, Akanksha, Sujata, Anika, Sonakshi, Parul, Payal, Sakshi, Vikkhyati and Arya — also secured a commanding win.

The five-day sports meet continues with more finals scheduled in the coming days and will culminate on June 6 with a grand closing ceremony and prize distribution.
