Speaking on the occasion, Pratibha Singh said everyone needs to move forward with the ideals and ideology of Mahatma Gandhi. “Mahatma Gandhi played a huge role in securing the Independence, and this country can never forget his contribution and sacrifice,” said Pratibha Singh. She said the Congress was following the path shown by Bapu. “The best tribute to Bapu would be our resolve to follow the path shown by him,” she said.

Meanwhile, Pathania said the nation would always remain indebted to Bapu. “There is a great need to promote his thoughts and ideals in the country as we are straying from the path of truth and non-violence shown by him. Gandhi’s ideology is the Congress, and we have to strengthen it further,” said Pathania. He added that today was the day to remember all freedom fighters and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and protection of the country.

Education Minister Rohit Thakur said there was great need to propagate Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology and his ideals among the youth so that the future of the country can be secured.
